Have you thought about removing your carpet and adding hardwood? Nice idea! Yes, install hardwood, laminate, and other wood floors for your convenience. Based on the interior design magazines, we are seeing more and more hardwood almost everyday now. It can add a nice warm touch, and is always beautiful too see and appreciate every time you are on it. Designers are even recommending hardwood floor for new kitchens now more that ever before.
Let's take a look some nice prefinished oak hardwood floors in a new addition that we just installed. This home used hardwood throughout the house; bedrooms, hallways, sunroom, family room and den, and you will see that it added a neat natural touch here.
This sunroom above used hardwood throughout and keeps a lot of light on the floors by letting in a lot of light with large windows on all sides. They eventually, used some really nice area rugs on a few areas, but basically let the hardwood show off.
This oak hardwood above was used in an older home to update it, and give it a new look. The hardwood was used throughout most areas in the home, and warmed it up quite a bit as you can see. Since it was a whole house remodel, it was done in conjunction with other work and was an easy job for us.
The hardwood above was installed in a master bedroom and closet and is a light oak that is very popular in many new homes. We like it because it was prefinished (does not require sanding, staining and finishing), and is fairly easy to install once you put an underlayment down on the subfloor.
This photo above shows the same light oak hardwood floor in the second bedroom and closet. This home also lets in a lot of light to highlight the hardwood floors and give it added warmth by making the room bright and open.
The third bedroom also used hardwood in the main area as well as the closet. Not shown is the hardwood floors in the hallways and steps. This too is a nice touch and should go a long ways to make this home have a lot of welcoming charm for all of the occupants, and guests. We can furnish the hardwood that you need, or you can buy it yourself and then have us install it. Either way, you will end up with a clean, nice job that will change the look and feel of your home.
Laminate floors and other "softer" floors are installed basically the same way as hardwood floors. We install them as well as any other floor that you might desire. The choice is yours. The same thing applies--you can get the materials and we can install the flooring, or we can get the laminate or other flooring and we will install. Just gives us ample time to schedule your hardwood and make sure that it is acclimated to the room where it will be installed.
This is particularly important in the winter time as we cannot installed hardwood or other exotic woods like American cherry, Pecan, Brazilian Cherry, Pecan, Red Oak, Walnut, Brazilian Teak, Santos Mahogany, and Antique Pine, until they have been in an area at room temperature for about 72 hours.
